The BMW N52B30 is a 3.0L naturally aspirated inline-six gasoline engine introduced by BMW in 2004 and put into full-scale production in 2005. It is the high-displacement flagship model of the N52 family and was designed to replace the previous-generation M54B30. This engine won the “Ward’s 10 Best Engines” award in both 2006 and 2007 and is considered the “swansong” of BMW’s naturally aspirated inline-six engines.
